Tours & Excursions - Giants Castle R 1750 p.p.

Giants Castle was established in 1903 and boasts around 600 Eland - the largest of the Berg antelope, for which the reserve was proclaimed. Blesbok, Oribi, Bushbuck and the very rare and dainty Klipspringer are some of the other wildlife present here as well as 170 species of bird including the bearded vulture.
This day tour drives through the very scenic Natal Midlands and into the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains, with enchanting views. We take a short hike requiring medium fitness to the San Rock Art Site and Bushman Museum, where with the help of a guide you can learn some insight into the lives of the San Hunter-gatherers who lived in harmony with the land so many years ago. After lunch there are a few short walks you can choose from, or simply relax on the balcony in the fresh and tranquil surroundings of the majestic berg.
