Tours & Excursions - 3 Day Anglo/Zulu Battlefields Tour R1750 p.p.

Departing from Durban, we drive North along the Dolphin Coast and then inland into the heart of Zululand. Passing the site of the Ultimatum Tree where King Cetchwayo was given an ultimatum by the Colonial forces, if he did not comply with the terms of this ultimatum in 30 days war would be declared on Zululand. 
Experience the battle of Isandlwana and feel the mood of the mountain. We start with a view of the entire battlefield from Nqutu Heights, and then move onto to this Sphinx shaped mountain, where the British received their worst defeat ever at the hands of a native force.
Lunch is included either a picnic (weather permitting) or at a local establishment. A cash bar is available.
The afternoon is spent at Rorkes Drift were the battle continued, here 13 Victorian Crosses where awarded for bravery- the most ever in a single engagement. Visit the Hospital building which was so stoutly defended for 12 long night hours, this now houses a museum on the battle.
Return to Durban will be in the early evening.
