Overcome your fear by doing a snorkel out to a nearby reef, only 200 meters off shore, and not very deep. Open water 1 right up to dive instructor courses are available, prices vary. Dives and instruction can be arranged for Aliwal Shoal, Sodwana Bay, or Ponto De Ora in Mozambique. South Africa has some of the best dive sites in the world. Shark Bonanza happens every June/July, while the Ragged Tooth sharks breed in the caves at Aliwal Shoal. Or tickle a Potatoe Bass, and be enchanted by dolphins just off the Mozambique coast.

For advanced divers night, wreck, or deep dives can be organized.
